Little Logs Starburst Pattern

Don’t you love the way the border treatment accents the center design in this beautiful pattern from Deb Heatherly for Cut Loose Press? That center design is made up of sixteen four-inch traditional log cabin blocks made with the Creative Grids Log Cabin Trim Tool for four-inch finished blocks. Because of the size of the finished blocks, all the logs can be cut from five-inch squares! Thirty-two dark and twenty-eight light squares will make the log cabins and the corner star units, just add the red center, borders, and binding.

The star points are made with the Creative Grids Strippy Star Tool which creates floating points so those points will remain sharp and crisp even after you attach the binding!

Tip: Eliminate the math by cutting the strips using the line down the center of
any of the Creative Grids 2-1/2" wide rectangles. This white line is at the 1-1/4" mark, the width of the strips needed to make the mini block.
